Charles Sobhraj (78 years old) is an elderly French citizen, who came to France shortly after completing an indefinite sentence for murder in Nepal. Because of his involvement in the deaths of several travellers from Canada and the US during the 1970s, this serial murderer has been imprisoned for life in Nepal from 2003. Sobhraj was transported via Qatar on the weekend following an air flight to Nepal. The Associated Press was informed of his arrival by Isabelle Coutant-Peyre (his French lawyer). There is a good chance that Sobhraj was previously convicted for criminal acts in the past is expected to be prosecuted by the Paris legal system following his return.
